Fast.Scan™ is Polyrix’s patented simultaneous projection 3D scanning technology. Its main goal is to provide ultra-fast, high-resolution 3D scans, enabling efficient inline metrology, automated quality assurance, and high-throughput production inspection.
Standard PolyScan scan times range from 6 to 24+ minutes depending on the model. Fast.Scan™ reduces this to approximately 20–30 seconds, dramatically increasing throughput while maintaining industrial-grade accuracy and repeatability.
Fast.Scan™ delivers ultra-fast, full-surface scans that align with strict takt times in automotive, aerospace, and manufacturing lines. It integrates seamlessly into inline inspection workflows, reducing bottlenecks and improving production efficiency for automated quality control.
Simultaneous projection captures multiple points on a part at the same time rather than sequentially. This drastically reduces scan duration and enables real-time point cloud processing for faster decision-making and inline metrology.

With no moving components, Fast.Scan™ minimizes scanning time because no movement is faster than having to wait for a motion, even a rapid one. Additionally, no moving parts limits mechanical wear and eliminates collision risks (along with its maintenance costs). This design ensures consistent high-speed operation and reliability for automated inspection and inline metrology processes.

Fast.Scan™ can be added to existing PolyScan systems as an advanced technology module. Planning ahead ensures seamless deployment, but retrofitting is fully possible. Some clients initially use PolyScan atline or in metrology labs without Fast.Scan, but moving to production lines typically requires Fast.Scan to meet takt times.
