Custom 3D Scanning Solutions for Inline Manufacturing - Configured for Your Part(s)

The most Versatile PolyScan

The PolyScan V Series is Polyrix's fully configurable industrial 3D scanning system - built around your specific part geometry, throughput targets, and line integration requirements.

The PolyScan surround design is fully scalable with the PolyScan V series, providing industrial metrology solutions. The V stands for versatility.

Powered by Polyrix's patented Surround.Scan™ technology, the PolyScan V places an arbitrary number of cameras and projectors in a calibrated surround array - delivering complete 360° surface coverage in a single, motionless scan.

Whether you need a fully automated in-process 3D inspection cell for a high-volume automotive line, or a bespoke scanner configuration for a complex aerospace component or casting, our engineering team guides you through every step of the design process.

High Inspection Throughput - More Parts, More Confidence

Achieve 100% in-process inspection without slowing your line. The PolyScan V delivers full-coverage 3D scans in as little as 25 seconds per part - fast enough for demanding automotive and industrial takt time requirements.

Real-Time Process Control

Validate the dimensional repeatability of your process with every scan. Live deviation data feeds directly into your quality workflow via the Polyrix Portal™, so your team identifies trends and corrects them before defects accumulate.

Instant Go/No-Go Decisions

Get a clear pass/fail result on every part in minutes, not hours. No CMM scheduling, no lab delays. Just immediate, data-backed certainty that every component meets specification.

Custom Solutions & PolyScan V FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

The PolyScan V is Polyrix's fully configurable industrial 3D scanning system. It works like a PolyScan X series system, but is customized to your specific part geometry, production line layout, and inspection requirements, with any number of scanning units placed and calibrated in a surround array.
The system cost includes project management and design time to account for the customization effort. However, the first step of the design, simulating your part virtually in Simulation.Lab™, is typically completed during the sales cycle at no cost. From there, we optimize scanner unit placement for full coverage, validate the design, and begin manufacturing only after you approve the final design package.
Yes. The PolyScan V is designed for inline integration with automated production lines, including robot-assisted systems. The PolyScan can communicate directly with your PLC. Custom fixtures and brackets are designed specifically for your line's footprint during the design phase.
Component and assembly inspection are the most common uses for the PolyScan V, where inline measurement at current takt times is required. We have also seen PolyScan Vs used in design labs and metrology labs where space is at a premium: thanks to the system's versatility, the scan units (cameras and projectors) can be mounted on walls or ceilings in a smaller space. PolyScan V shines when high-throughput, non-contact dimensional inspection is required.
Surround 3D scanning is Polyrix's patented approach to full-coverage inspection. Multiple structured-light camera and projector units are arranged in a 360° array around the part. The entire part is captured in one motionless scan, with no repositioning or rotating required.
With Polyrix's Fast.Scan™ technology, full-part scans are completed in as little as 25 seconds, fast enough for high-volume automotive and industrial takt time requirements. Additional time can be saved when acquisition and processing are handled separately. Ask us for more details during your demo.
